Shakira's rocker look, Beyonce's music video waves, switching up the decor of her own reality TV show salon! L.A. Hair's Kim Kimble is no stranger to inspiring style transformations of any kind. But while she's worked with so many of her dream clients already, the celebrity hairstylist still has a few stars she'd love to give a glam hairdo to—one of which graced this year's Superbowl stage. "I still want to do Prince's hair. He’s the man and so stylish—or Bruno Mars because they actually wear cool hair," says Kim.

And cool hair (or design in general) is pretty much Kim's forte. We caught up with Kim to get the scoop on Season 3 of L.A. Hair, how she felt about styling four (yes, four!) of Beyonce's music videos, her salon's chic makeover, and the deets on her dream client list. Check it out!

OK! Magazine: What can we expect from this season?

Kim Kimble: We have a lot of big thing going on. I am going to be expanding my business. Also, we remodeled the salon. You’re going to see a lot more drama this season. We hired a new barber. She’s an addition to the show, and she has a very tough time interacting with the other stylists. She hasn’t worked in a salon for years. It was an interesting transition for her. Then, of course, we’re going to see a lot of celebrities this season.

OK!: What look were you going for in the remodel?

KK: I wanted to upgrade to the attitude of the stylists because there was just so much drama last season. I wanted a better environment. I wanted it upscale, a little bit more creative, and a little bit more high-end. I wanted to uplift the stylists and get a new attitude in there.

OK!: Have your celebrity clients said anything about it?

KK: They love it! They especially love the grass on the wall—everybody loves that grass on the wall! They love the colors. It’s more cheerful and less sterile.

OK!: You actually worked with Beyonce on a couple of her recent videos, "Superpower," "Haunted," "Pretty Hurts," and "Blow." What was that experience like?

KK: She’s amazing. I continue to watch her success climb, and I love her new album.

OK!: Did you go through a lot of hair tests?

KK: It didn’t take a long time. Normally, the process is that I’ll collaborate with her team and the director to see what the actual look is. I’ll create a storyboard and come up with ideas, and they will come up with ideas. It’s a big collaboration really. There is no test. I’ve been working with her for so long so that she doesn’t really require me to do a test for her hair. We definitely have to come up with ideas.

OK!: You work with Shakira on The Voice. Tell us a little bit about that experience.

KK: Working with Shakira on The Voice has been amazing. She’s an international star. With her contestants, she’s very nourishing and she’s also a good coach. She’s very passionate and competitive and really works well with her contestants. To see how she interacts with other people is amazing. She’s an amazing artist. She’s always giving.

OK!: She’s got great hair. It’s so curly and beautiful. Does it require a lot of styling to get that look?

KK: Oddly enough, she loves an effortless look—a very rock and roll, grungy, effortless look. It takes a lot of work to actually get it to that point, to make it look intentional but not too messy. A lot of people I work with—Beyonce and Shakira—they like that tousled look.

OK!: Adam Levine just got a new hairstyle. What do you think about his new 'do?

KK: I absolutely love it. If you’re going to go platinum or blonde like that, that is the perfect blonde. It was a great tone. Being a hairstylist and working with hair color, I know how hard it is to get the right shade of blonde. They were spot on with it. If you’re going to do it, that’s the color you do it.

OK!: What hair trends should we be watching out for this summer?

KK: As the summer approaches, a lot of my clients go natural or they put in curly hair extensions because it’s hot, humid, and sweaty. Sometimes you don’t want to fight that. It’s also very good for your hair to wear it natural and not to put the stress on it of the iron.

OK!: Do you have a dream client?

KK: I know I say this all the time. I still want to do Prince's hair. He’s the man and so stylish—or Bruno Mars because they actually wear cool hair. I'd love to work with Madonna. I would love to work with someone like Cher. Those would be the few on the top of my list.
