Just like Katy Perry, Michelle Williams, and Anne HathawayRihanna never falls short from being called a fashion and beauty daredevil. We’ve known about Rihanna’s partially shaved hairdo for a while now, (and think it’s pretty hardcore) but love how she still manages to lock in glamorous and feminine elements in every single ‘do. She can still pull it all up into a pony, making it one of the most dynamic styles beauty has ever seen.

OK! News: Cool Kid Accessories

Recently, instead of flat-ironing her locks pin straight, Rihanna has been adding in large, almost “Southern Belle” curls into her everyday, party, and concert looks. Because she usually rocks clothing with a ton of metal embellishments in bold fabrics, it adds a fresh girly-girl touch, don’t cha think?

Yes, our obsession with curly hair has reached a new level. Lucky for us, now we have a how-to! Rihanna’s celebrity stylist and Motions Global Ambassador Ursula Stephen shared a few helpful tips on how to get these curls when you’re sporting a half-shaved style. Don’t worry if you don’t have it in you to shave the side of your head. Ursula’s tips will work on long hair, too. Are you ready for this? It’s easy as pie.

1. Ursula says to separate your hair into small sections. After you’ve separated them, wrap each section around a medium barrel iron. We personally love curling irons and wands from Sultra and T3.

2. Curl every section, and after all your hair has been curled, Ursula says to brush out the curls vigorously and separate the curls. Ursula says that the vigorous brushing gives the hair a little “fluff”

3. To keep everything in place and looking nice, Ursula suggests using Motions Hold and Shine Styling Spray.
