Rumors are flying that Betty White could follow up her Saturday Night Live triumph with a stint on Dancing with the Stars and she already has a thumbs up from the show's pros.

Word is that producers of the hit ABC reality show want Betty as one of their dancing stars next season. And the show’s longtime pro, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, told OK! it’s a fabulous idea.

“I’d love that," he said. "Did you see what she did with one episode of Saturday Night Live? God knows what she’s going to do here.”

Betty is 88, but age wouldn’t be a barrier, as DWTS already had another older comedienne, Cloris Leachman, compete on the show at age 82.

“We had Cloris Leachman. We’ll remember that season very well,” Maks pointed out with a smile. Cloris, of course, stole the show with her humor on DWTS and won new fans.

Maksim’s partner, ESPN reporter Erin Andrews, said Betty wouldn’t need any advice to be a dancing celebrity. “She’s a superstar beyond any levels I would know about,” Erin told reporters on Tuesday night.
