Paula Abdul Not Joining 'Dancing With the Stars'

Paula Abdul has told Dancing With the Stars producers straight up that she won't be joining this season of the show, according to reports.

Sources close to Paula tell TMZ the former American Idol judge has decided against taking part in the show — despite a very generous pay check offered by ABC.

The Web site claims that ABC offered Paula a $1 million development deal if she agreed to do the dance competition.

Meanwhile, there are rumors that Paula is still in talks with Simon Cowell about joining his new show, X Factor.

DWTS is unveiling a number of changes this season including a replacement for Tom Bergeron's co-host Samantha Harris, while familiar faces like Karina Smirnoff and Lacey Schwimmer will be absent from the pro dancers.
