Unlike many celebrities working pre-fall designer digs, Ashley's stylist Joey Tierney had vintage in mind for the kickoff of major Hollywood events. Could you even begin to disagree?

"We chose this outfit because it was the perfect combination of elegant and chic. I wanted to do something a little different, so we chose runway vintage from fall 2007," says Joey.

Instead of flaunting a floor-length gown from the beginning of the season's festivities, Ashley and Joey transitioned in with a feminine cocktail dress in a silhouette that will never fade out of style.

"We knew we needed something elegant but not necessarily a red-carpet gown. This captures exactly what we  were looking for. It seemed like a perfect first look for the new year and to kick off awards season," says Joey.

Not many take selfies when they're unhappy with their look, so we can safely assume Ashley was a huge fan. The outfit was accessorized with jewels from H Stern Jewels, a Lanvin clutch, and Christian Louboutin stilettos. Can you say, dream?
