To reflect on the shore decked out in Marc Jacobs. This thought, worthy of a daydream, became a reality for Miley Cyrus when the designer brand chose her to be the face of his Spring Summer 2014 ad campaign.

Although Marc Jacobs’ delicately designed collections always get those a little interested a bit giggly, the campaign wasn’t supposed to give off a vibe on spring’s sunshine, butterflies, and green grass meadows—cue the frown on Miss Miley’s face.

“We wanted this beach with girls kind of sulky and broody, and we thought it would be cool if Miley was with what could be two friends, feeling distant and quite dark,” explains Marc Jacobs to WWD.

They certainly succeeded in that—almost a little Kristen Stewart-esque, right? Apparently, Marc has been basically besties with the “Wrecking Ball” singer for quite a bit. Anyone else remember that time Miley wore that Marc Jacobs Mickey Mouse getup? Considering Marc furthered his conversation on the topic of Miley, stating, “there’s nothing I don’t like about her,” her role in his campaign isn’t the biggest shocker.

But wait, does that mean he didn’t mind her VMAs performance?

Miley isn’t shy about her time in the high fashion spotlight either. She took to Instagram to upload a shot of her rocking a pair of sunnies designed by Marc.
