Travis London is all about eating and living well — the healthy and chic way — and this week, Travis shares his recipe for a zestfully irresistible French toast.

“This New Year, treat that special someone to breakfast in bed with my Irresistible French Toast,” Travis tells OK!. “But be careful as they may not ever get out of bed!”

Irresistible French Toast (Serves 4)

Ingredients:

6 large free range eggs

1 tablespoon, plus 1 teaspoon grated orange zest

1 1/2 cups low-fat half-and-half

1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

1 tablespoon organic honey

1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

1 loaf of challah or brioche bread, cut into 3/4-inch thick slices

Unsalted butter

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 250F.

2. In a shallow baking dish, whisk together eggs, zest, half and half, vanilla extract, honey and salt. Soak slices in mixture for 2 minutes per side.

3. Heat butter in a large pan over medium-high heat, add soaked bread slices and cook for 2 to 3 minutes per side until browned. Keep cooked slices warm by placing in oven until all slices have been cooked.

Chic Tip: Serve each plate topped with fresh strawberries

Healthy Tip: This recipe can be substituted with whole wheat bread.
