Adam Levine went from being the lead singer of a band to a mentor on The Voice and now he's heading to scripted television! The Maroon 5 frontman revealed today that the rumors are true — he will be on season two of American Horror Story.
"It is the truth," Adam told Ryan Seacrest this morning on his radio show. "I mean, it's pretty much happening. I think it's happening. I don't know how much I can divulge, because Ryan [Murphy] is very under wraps."
Season two of the hit FX series is going to be a bit different from the first. It will be set on the east coast instead of in Los Angeles and it will reportedly be based in a mental institution rather than a haunted mansion. But, some season one favorites like Jessica Lange, Zachary Quinto and Evan Peters will be returning.
"It's going to be fun. And I told [Ryan] I really didn't know what I was doing but he didn't seem to really care," Adam said. "So I'm just going to go and try to [do] acting. I think I'm going to be kind of playing myself so hopefully it will be easy."
As OK! reported, Adam will play "a contemporary character and half of the couple called 'The Lovers'" on the show.
And although he may not be prepared, Adam says he can't wait to work with Ryan. "He's really great," Adam gushed. "And I love the fact that he believes in me [enough] to throw me out there."
