Very sad news for Adele fans. The powerhouse British singer has been forced to cancel her entire U.S. tour due to vocal injury.

Adele took to her website to personally apologize to fans about canceling her upcoming string of shows.

“Guys, im heartbroken and worried to tell you that yet again im experiencing problems with my voice. its ridiculous i know! i cant believe it myself,” she began.

“Singing is literally my life, its my hobby, my love, my freedom and now my job,” Adele explained on her blog. “I have absolutely no choice but to recuperate properly and fully, or I risk damaging my voice forever. I have great confidence in believing you know how much this upsets me, how seriously I take it and how truly devastated and annoyed I am by this.”

The singer — who performed a gorgeous rendition of “Someone Like You” and was a big winner at August’s MTV Video Music Awards — has been told by her doctors to take an extended rest from singing due to a second vocal hemorrhage.

Adele had a similar vocal injury back in May and described it, “literally as if someone pulled a curtain over my throat.”

“Wanting to do something so bad and not being able to is the most frustrating thing as Im sure you know! My voice is weak, and I need to build it back up,” she added in the lengthy blog post to fans, where she continued to apologize.

The singer was forced to cancel her North American tour in June after suffering a severe case of laryngitis. She was set to pick back up again with a string of shows starting this weekend in Atlantic City.
