Lindsay Lohan may have been released from rehab, but her legal problems may only be getting worse now that California police are saying she’s violated her probation.
According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department (via CNN News), Lindsay violated her probation when she allegedly got into physical altercation with a staff member at the Betty Ford Center.
Authorities are reportedly planning on sending their investigative evidence to the district attorney’s office to decide if Lindsay should face battery charges.
The former staff member has said she does not want charges filed and will no longer cooperate with the investigation, but the department said Monday they will still be moving forward.
“It is expected that this investigation will be sent to the district attorney’s office later this week,” the sheriff’s office said.
Lindsay’s probation is set to end in August of 2011, but prosecutor Danette Meyers said she expects Lindsay back in municipal court to review her probation on Feb. 1.
Judge Elden Fox has said Lindsay would be jailed for 180 days if she violates the rules of her rehab program or fails a drug test before her court date with him on Feb. 25.
