Jim Parsons has come out of the closet in a candid interview with the New York Times.
The Big Bang Theory actor, who's set to star as Elwood P. Dowd in the upcoming Broadway play Harvey, sat down with writer Patrick Healy, who revealed Jim's sexuality in an in-depth profile.
While referring to Jim's work in The Normal Heart last year, in which he played a young gay activist, Patrick writes, "The Normal Heart resonated with him on a few levels: Mr. Parsons is gay and in a 10-year relationship, and working with an ensemble again onstage was like nourishment, he said."
No greater detail was revealed concering the CBS star's private life or partner of 10 years, but the news might come as a surprise to many, considering Jim has always stayed mum about his personal life.
We're happy for Jim and glad that he can finally be open about his sexuality.
