At last night's CMT Awards in Nashville, there was talk of an election. As co-hosts Toby Keith and Kristen Bell walked on the stage, they staged a mock election to see who would be the best host.
Matthew McConaughey weighed in and said Toby was cool because he played the guitar but then again, Kristen got props because she knows how to throw a party. Jon Bon Jovi indicated "as country goes so goes the country." Then President Barack Obama and Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney debated the issue as well.
The president proclaimed, "This is one of the toughest decisions I've had to make since I've been in office." He added, "I want them both." And thus, both Toby and Kristen's names were on the "ballot" so they both got to co-host the awards show.
Antics aside, Carrie Underwood won big! She and Brad Paisley won the nod for Collaborative Video of the Year for their duet, "Remind Me". However, Carrie wasn't the first person Brad showed his excitement toward. In fact, he hugged her husband, Mike Fisher, instead!
This prompted Carrie to ask, "Did you see my husband hug him first?" Then on stage, Brad added, "I'd like to thank this beautiful woman for being in the video, otherwise it's just a dork walking through the desert."
