It's a sad day in Hollywood today as celebs mourn the loss of Tony Scott, director of Top GunDays of Thunder and many other action films.

As reported by The Associated Press, the 68-year-old climbed a fence onto the Vincent Thomas Bridge in L.A. and jumped to his death. The LAPD and U.S. Coast Guard pulled his body from the water. A suicide note was reportedly found in his office. 

Tony's movies included Beverly Hills Cop II, Enemy of the State, True Romance and The Hunger. Tony also directed several Denzel Washington movies, including Man of Fire, The Taking of Pelham 123, and Unstoppable.

He's the brother of director Ridley Scott, (Prometheus), and both of them shared producing credits on TV's The Good Wife and NUMB3RS

After hearing the tragic news, celebs have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts on the well-liked director.

Justin Timberlake Tweeted, "So sad to hear the news about Tony Scott. His movies made growing up more fun for me. My prayers and condolences to the Scott family."

Ron Howard Tweeted, "No more Tony Scott movies. Tragic day."

Samuel L. Jackson wrote, "Taking a moment to reflect on Tony Scott's life & work! My sympathies to his family. Feeling the loss!"

Dane Cook wrote, "Devastated by the death of Tony Scott. Just watched True Romance 1 of my top 5 fav movies ever a few nights ago. #RIP"

Elijah Wood chimed in: "awful news about Tony Scott. rest in peace."

Rosario Dawson Tweeted, "Tony Scott…. You left us too soon. How terribly sad. What a lovely, kind human being you were. I will love and miss you much.
