Fans of Channing Tatum's stripper masterpiece, Magic Mike, will be interested to learn that it wasn't all campy costumes and oiled muscles on set.

OK! NEWS: MATTHEW MCCONAUGHEY, CHANNING TATUM AND JOE MANGIANELLO STRIP DOWN IN MAGIC MIKE

According to several sources, co-stars Channing and Alex Pettyfer had a feud of Real Housewives proportions, and tempers flared so dramatically that Channing forbade Alex to shoot the famed cover of Entertainment Weekly with the rest of the cast. The magazine cover featured Channing and co-stars Matthew McConaughey, Joe Manganiello and Matt Bomer, but Alex was suspiciously absent.

“Those around them tried to mend their relationship, but Channing doesn’t want anything to do with Alex," a source told the New York Post. "Channing said he didn’t want to do [the shoot] if Alex was there. Alex is known in Hollywood for being rude and difficult.”

While reps for both actors deny any kind of feud, a quick search for Alex's rumored behavior on past movie sets definitely indicates some attitude issues.

When Alex filmed I Am Number Four, which opened in February 2011, he had such a heated discourse with the flick's director, DJ Caruso, sources told The Hollywood Reporter, that higher-ups at Dreamworks had to intervene.

Producers who have worked with Alex have also described him as "cocky" and "ahead of himself," but Alex's saving grace is his undeniable talent.

"If he delivers," said one producer, "he'll be worth it."
