Josh Duggar, a volunteer firefighter, and his family members searched what was left of a local Home Depot for survivors, ABC News reports.

They reportedly found seven people alive, but the search had to be called off due to danger from gas leaks.

“The whole town is just torn apart,” Josh told Good Morning America. “And I think you can just sense the people, there’s a sense of ‘We can do this, we’re going to unite together and take care of this.’ “

Josh told TMZ he and his family spent Sunday night and all day Monday delivering supplies and searching for survivors.

Late Sunday night, Josh says he and a few of his siblings, John, Jana, Jill, Jessa and Joseph, and their dad Jim Bob decided to load up their cars and head to Joplin from their home in Arkansas to help.
