Gearing up for Montblanc’s 24-Hour Plays: L.A. event this evening, benefitting the Urban Arts Partnership, 24 actors, 6 directors, and 6 writers secretly met together into the wee hours of the night on Friday in L.A. to put together a performance in just one day and OK! has all of the exclusive inside scoop from what happened behind closed doors.
Asked to present the production team with ideas and props for their roles and to also share what they do not want to portray on stage, participating actors such as Eva Mendes, Sophia Bush, Gillian Jacobs and Zachary Levi all came up with some pretty original ideas.
According to an eyewitness, Eva, who brought a chicken mask as her prop of choice, asked the writers to, “make her sweet and kind like Jennifer Anniston with no attitude,” for her part in the play.
The Florida native, born to Cuban parents, did specify that she, “really didn’t want to have to yell in Spanish and be aggressive,” while on stage.
Community’s Gillian Jacobs provided for a few laughs as she admitted to the directorial team that, “she had never had consensual sex on stage before!”
According to the source, Sophia brought along her bathroom, an umbrella, and a dog leash to be incorporated into the play, while Zachary, with a Shake Weight in tow, shared that he wanted to, “juggle some women,” during the show!
After working late into the night writing a script and just 12 hours to rehearse, the actors are set to take the stage tonight for their live performance at Santa Monica’s Broad Stage at 8 PM!
Other Hollywood stars featured in tonight’s show, helping to raise awareness for arts-integrated education programs, include Leslie Bibb, Raven Symone, Adam Brody, Yvette Nicole Brown, Jenna Elfman, Cam Gigandet, Rosie Perez and Nia Vardalos.
