Rooney Mara has been so busy attending the premieres for her film, The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, that she still hasn't had time to let her Golden Globe nomination sink in!

The actress sat down with Ann Curry on Today this morning to discuss her nomination for Best Actress, Drama at the Golden Globes.

"I was kind of half-asleep. We'd had three premieres in three countries in three nights, so I was kind of half-asleep," Rooney explained on Today about finding out she was nominated. "I kind of forgot that that was happening, so I was very surprised."

And while Rooney doesn't smile much as Lisbeth Salander in The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, she couldn't help but smile when discussing her nomination.

Rooney also chatted with Ann and explained why she decided to take on the very challenging role for the complete triolgy of films.

"I had read the books and, like the rest of the world," she said, "I'd fallen in love with the character."
