After completing a successful run in his one-man show, Hugh Jackman: Back on Broadway, and smashing box-office records on the Great White Way, the actor already has plans in the works for his next Broadway project.
Entertainment Weekly has confirmed that Hugh Jackman will return in 2013 to star in Houdini. The project will be written by The West Wing and The Social Network mastermind Aaron Sorkin.
Hugh says of taking on the role, "I have been deeply fascinated by the life of Harry Houdini since I was young, and in many ways I’ve been preparing for this role my whole life. Aaron previously had a show on Broadway with The Farnsworth Invention in 2007 and now will take to the pen again for this production."
Per EW, the story will focus on a battle between the 20th-century illusionist and three women who became famous after claiming they could communicate with the dead.
