Joe Simpson finds his daughters Jessica Simpson and Ashlee Simpson-Wentz so funny that he’s landed a Nickolodeon comedy show based on their awkward teen years.

Joe has teamed up with producer Tommy Lynch, according to The Hollywood Reporter, to make a show loosely based on his real-life experience as a psychologist raising two daughters in Texas.

One story line involves one of the daughters imitating her dad and giving life advice to the other kids at school. Which sister could that be?

Following his daughters’ success, Joe has dived into producing, guiding Jessica and Ashlee’s TV projects and most recently the ABC drama series Women’s Murder Club.
