Overboard in Oslo!
Justin Bieber traveled to Oslo, Norway, yesterday as part of his free European summer concert series to promote his latest album, Believe, and he caused such a ruckus cops threatened to cancel the event.
As is Bieber de riguer, when the pint-sized star arrived for his six-song performance on the top of the Oslo Opera house, swarms of fans rushed the venue, causing chaos and violence in the otherwise laid-back city. Over a dozen girls passed out, and there were 50 rumored hospital visits. In fact, the crowd became so uncontrollable, Justin himself sent out multiple tweets to his millions of followers.
"For the show to happen u must all listen to the police. we are all concerned for your safety and i want what is best for u," he tweeted. "Please listen to the police. I don't want anyone getting hurt. I want everything to go to plan but your safety must come first."
Speaking of tweeting, use of cell phone devices rose to such astronomical levels that mobile service in the area was temporarily slowed, causing a panic.
The Biebs performs in Paris tonight, and let's hope for the sake of the City of Lights that Parisians can show a little restraint.
