Hundreds of fans have been camping outside Macy’s Herald Square since Tuesday, just to get a glimpse of Justin Bieber, who is launching his new fragrance, Someday, at the department store this afternoon. Unfortunately, while Justin was trying to say hi to all his Beliebers, a man attacked and reportedly injured the 17-year-old singing sensation.
JB was “slightly injured when a fan jumped over a barricade” at the Macy’s event this afternoon in the Big Apple and attacked him, knocking him to the ground, myfoxny.com reports.
The Fox 5 news crew was on the scene and said the injury was “minor.”
“When he was grabbed, his security grabbed the person,” an eyewitness tells OK!. “Bieber came inside looking very shaken up and holding his arm.”
JB’s family and security team went to his aid.
“While inside, he was comforted by his dad and his security guard Kenny,” our eyewitness adds. “Scooter [Braun his manager] was also on the scene.”
Justin was so shaken up that “he went to be with his camp and out of the mayhem.”
Hundreds of fans camped outside Macy’s on 34th street for a chance to meet their idol, who was at the store to launch his new fragrance, Someday, this afternoon.
“gonna chill..grab a bite..then see everyone at MACY’s for the #SOMEDAY launch. LEGGO!!” he Tweeted earlier today.
The first 350 fans get to meet Bieber, if they purchase Someday, of course.
For $135, fans will get two spray bottles, a body lotion, hair mist and a photo with the teen dream.
The fragrance has been promoted as “energy with a state of mind that inspires. It is a personal gift straight from his heart, giving fans a chance to get one step closer to Justin. It’s a fragrance he can’t get enough of and can’t stay away from, making those who wear it irresistible.”
Also on his NYC junket, The Bieb stopped by Late Show With David Letterman on Wednesday night, the Today show this morning, as well as popping over for a chat with the ladies from The View.
