Miley Cyrus’ hunky ex-boyfriend Justin Gaston is stepping out from her shadow as the star of a new web show, If I Can Dream, which premiered on Hulu on Tuesday.
Justin, a singer-songwriter, will live in a ritzy Hollywood house along with four other aspiring entertainers as they pursue their showbiz dreams and 60 cameras follow their every move. “If I Can Dream” also features Texas drama student Kara Killmer, former model turned aspiring actor Benjamin Elliott, former NFL cheerleader Amanda Phillips and aspiring model Giglianne Braga.
Former model Justin, who has also appeared on TV’s Nashville Star, broke up with Miley last summer after a nine-month relationship. He hopes the new Hulu show jump-starts his music career. And, when asked if viewers might see romances developing in the house amongst the kids, Justin told OK!, “I’m single. I think we’re all here to pursue our careers but technically, yes, it could happen.”
Justin wears black nail polish on only the middle finger of each hand. He told OK! that he and a couple of friends sport the look.
“It’s like a secret society,” Justin explained. “We let people join but we don’t really talk about it. There definitely is a purpose behind it and it’s not a creepy cult thing. If I told you, they might try to hurt me. It’s something that’s very important to all of us. Once you’re in, you can’t tell.”
Will these and other mysteries be revealed on the show?! Check out Hulu as the gorgeous kids start living together, going on auditions, and sharing their struggles to become stars with everyone on the web.
