“California Gurl” Katy Perry and funny man Russell Brand tied the knot today in India and guests at the wedding gushed about the lavish details to OK!.

A wedding guest confirmed to OK! on Saturday, “Yep they’re official! Very traditional ceremony with a priest, bindis, the works! Now on to the party at the tents its gonna be sick! Glad I brought mosquito spray.”

The nuptials took place at Rambagh Palace on Oct. 23, where Katy and Russell originally got engaged just a few months back.

“The very private and spiritual ceremony, attended by the couples’ closest family and friends was performed by a Christian minister and longtime friend of the Hudson Family. The backdrop was the inspirational and majestic countryside of Northern India,” a rep for the couple explained in a statement released today.

Asides from family and friends, an onlooker tells OK! that the party included two very special guests.

Two elephants, Laxmi and Mala, were cleared to be a part of the weekends’ festivities at the resort in Jaipur.

Starting on Thursday, E! Online reports that guests picked out saris and jewelry at a specially set up bazaar followed by cocktail hour by the pool at the compound.

By the time Friday rolled around, Katy and Russell had a Mehndi ceremony where the 25-year-old’s hands and feet were drawn on with henna.

After all of the pre-partying, the twosome were married on Saturday night as Mr. and Mrs. Brand in a tiger reserve at Ranthambhore National Park, according to the Huffington Post.
