Leighton Meester‘s mother has a history of getting into trouble with the law and it seems she may be surrounded by it again.
A California woman claims Constance Meester made death threats against her and her son and has obtained a temporary restraining order against her, E! News reports.
Laurel Wigg’s was granted the request last week by a L.A. judge after claiming Constance “is an addice and has made a threat to kill.”
She claims Leighton’s mom threatened on Jan. 21 to “hunt down and kill” herself and her son.
Wiggs claims in the documents that Constance said she was going to “to f–k us up” and then left a worrisome voice mail message.
According to the documents, Wiggs knows Constance because their “children go to the same school.”
And E! News reports that Constance spent 10 years of Leighton’s childhood in prison for involvement in a drug smuggling ring.
The restraining order is in place until Feb. 10, 2012.
