When Michael Clarke Duncan passed away Monday after complications from a heart attack in July, he and fiancé Omarosa Manigualt were planning a secret January wedding and talking children.
"She’s absolutely devastated,” her spokeswoman Priscilla Clarke told The New York Daily News. “They were planning to get married and start a family.”
Michael and Omarosa met in the produce section at Whole Foods and dated for two years before secretly becoming engaged. The duo hid their upcoming winter nuptials from the media and instead opted for a low-key, under-the-radar engagement.
After suffering a particularly brutal heart attack on July 13, Michael struggled to regain his health and the former Apprentice star did everything in her power to get her fiancé back on his feet.
"She had doctors come from all over the country and the world to see him,” a friend of the couple confirmed, adding that Omarosa often felt like she wasn't doing enough.
While portrayed as a villain on The Apprentice, Michael often gushed about her personality and intelligence.
"When I say she is perfect for me, I mean just that. She is perfect for me," he told to The UrbanDaily in 2011.
