According to Entertainment Weekly sources, Office producers have reached out to Easbound & Down‘s Danny McBride and Flight of the Conchord‘s’ Rhys Darby to see if they have an interest in joining the show.

Paul Lieberstein, executive producer of The Office, confirmed they’re “having discussions”  about hiring a new salesman into Dunder Mifflin’s Scranton branch, but wouldn’t say if that person would necessarily replace Steve’s character Michael Scott.

“We haven’t settled exactly who will take over,” Paul said adding a current staffer could be promoted instead.
