The Parents Television Council (PTC) has launched a campaign calling all sponsors of America's Got Talent to pull their advertising from the show. Why? Well, because Howard Stern is now a judge.

OK! NEWS: HOWARD STERN CONFIRMS AMERICA'S GOT TALENT GIG

"Stern's reputation for sleaze and misogyny is well-known; and to our knowledge his only previous judging experience consisted of looking at insecure, naked young women and telling them whether or not they were hot enough to pose for Playboy," wrote PTC president Tim Winter in a letter distributed to 91 corporations that run commercials during the NBC show.

The show mentioned in the letter was the short-lived Are You Hot?, and while we agree that it was a rather disgusting idea in general, Howard's stint on Are You Hot? actually makes him a more experienced judge than either Sharon Osbourne or Howie Mandel, or Stern's predecessor, Piers Morgan. In that case, doesn't this really just amount to a question of preference and not experience? You can't please everybody.

The letter also cites some examples of what the PTC deems inappropriate behavior from Stern.

"There can be, and must be, a presumption that Mr. Stern will only continue to conduct himself in precisely the same manner as he has done for decades," the letter continued.

When Howard appeared on Piers Morgan Tonight back in December 2011, he said that his goal is "to find real talent" and that he is not "some sort of weird pervert who's going to convert Americans into zombie sex fiends."

We get that a lot of people turn to AGT for a family-friendly show, but we're willing to give Howard a chance! The new season begins May 14. Will you be watching?
