It’s not very often that you see a grown man cry on television – especially not a man more known for making people laugh.

But Family Feud host Steve Harvey broke down into floods of tears during a recent episode of his daytime talk show when he was reunited with a couple that helped him out when he was a struggling down-on-his-luck comedian.

It was all done as a surprise for Steve’s 56th birthday and the motor-mouthed star was for once lost for words as he tried hard to compose himself when faced with his past.

“I was 26-years-old and struggling, I didn’t have nothing,” Steve sobbed in the video that now has over a million hits on YouTube and which you can watch below. “And these people own a furniture store in Cleveland. They took me in and give me my first contract with my little carpet cleaning company.”

Steve then explained the other kind-hearted things that the couple did for him to help him on his feet.

The radio DJ/talk show host/author/producer/actor is now said to have a net worth of $85 million and made the couple a very generous offer to say thank you!
