Tori Spelling has revealed for the first time how traumatic her fourth pregnancy was and how close she felt to losing her life.

The 39-year-old reality star thankfully welcomed baby Finn into the world safely on August 30, but she tells Us Weekly that they almost didn't make it.

Unbeknownst to her fans, Tori spent 10 weeks in hospital and four months on bed rest after being diagnosed with a condition called placenta previa which is where the placenta covers the cervix causing huge internal bleeding.

"I just remember thinking, I can't leave three children behind," Tori shared referencing her older children with husband Dean McDermott; Liam, 5, Stella, 4, and one-year-old Hattie.

Tori conceived Finn just a month after giving birth to Hattie and having had three C-sections in the past, which was part of what caused her medical issues.

The Craft Wars host went through the horrifying experience of nine massive bleeds before giving birth to her second son.

"When they put him in my arms I was like, 'We made it,'" she said of her bundle of joy. "We have an insane bond. We've been through hell and back."

But just three weeks later, Tori was rushed to hospital for emergency surgery after her C-section scars ruptured open.

Tori is now home with her brood and says she is "on the road to recovery and overjoyed to be back with my family."
