Kristen Stewart is always being critiqued on her actions and interview behaviors. But when it comes down to it, the talented actress is just trying to do a job she loves, without all the fanfare. Her most recent film Welcome to the Rileys shows Kristen in a very different role than Bella Swan, and being compared to her Twilight counterpart is something that may get under her skin.

“[Kristen]‘s been playing this same character in — what? — two or three movies now, and that frustrates her,” Welcome to the Riley’s director Jake Scott told E! News of K-Stew’s view on Twilight.

“She wants to be taken seriously as an actress — and the crazy thing is, before Twilight, she was doing that kind of work… She’s very proud of her work in this movie.”

Kristen plays the leading lady in her most recent flick as a runaway stripper.

“She’s very vulpine—very wolfish—and wily, kind of twitchy. Directing her is kind of like wrangling a herd of cats,” Scott said of working with Kristen.

That must be compliment? We guess.

Scott said he admired Kristen’s work in Into the Wild, prompting him to cast her in his film.

“Kristen, more than anyone, would go off-script or off-course, but it would be brilliant and it would work. But it would throw [Rileys costars] Jim [Gandolfini] and Melissa [Leo].”

“Also, that was her character. She was unpredictable… an uncontrollable force,” he explained.
