Don't fret, Fast and Furious fans! The star of the hit franchise revealed that the sixth movie won't be the end of an era!
Vin Diesel has confirmed that Universal Pictures is currently developing two new Fast and Furious films. The actor/producer, along with the studio, has decided to split the sixth installment into two parts.
"With the success of this last one, and the inclusion of so many characters and the broadening of scope, when we were sitting down to figure out what would fit into the real estate of No. 6, we didn’t have enough space," Vin told The Hollywood Reporter. "We have to pay off this story, we have to service all of these character relationships, and when we started mapping all that out it just went beyond 110 pages. The studio said, 'You can’t fit all that story in one damn movie!'"
The most recent film, Fast Five, got the best reviews of entire the franchise and grossed $626 million worldwide. We're sure the sixth and seventh films will do the same!
