'12 Angry Men' Director Sidney Lumet Dies at Age 86

Sidney Lumet, the much-admired director of films such as 12 Angry Men, passed away on Saturday at the age of 86, according to new reports.

The Pennsylvania native died this morning at his Manhattan home after suffering from lymphoma, TMZ reports.

Sidney, who directed over 50 films throughout his career, worked on hits like Dog Day Afternoon and 1982’s the Verdict, starring Paul Newman, and earned multiple Academy Award nominations for his extensive directorial accomplishments.
