The 52nd annual Grammys was all about the knockout performances. From Lady Gaga's kickass performance – complete with fire, 6-inch heels, and piano playing – with Sir Elton John toBeyoncé's cover of Alanis Morisette's "You Oughta Know," to Taylor Swift's duo with Stevie Nicks and the 3-D Michael Jackson tribute, the stage was jumping all night. While the entertainment was high, the award portion of the ceremony was strangely short, with few awards announced live.

Lady Gaga kicked off the show with a very wild performance, as per usual, filled with pyrotechnics. The legend himself, Elton John, joined Gaga on stage playing the piano and performing together.
