The annual MTV Video Music Awards broke ratings records this year with 12.4 million people tuning in to Sunday's night's ceremony to watch performances and see honors awarded to their favorite music stars!

Reuters reports 12.4 million viewers tuned in to see Lady Gaga as a man, Justin Bieber with his pet snake "Johnson" and Beyoncé's big baby bombshell!

The number is up one million from last year — with 11.4 million viewers — which was the largest audience since 2002.

The show also had the most viewers ever in the 12-34 year-old age bracket with 8.5 million!
