Considering the spectacular night known as the 2012 Grammy Awards will linger in our memories, there's no denying that Adele owned the show! With a triumphant return to the stage after vocal chord surgery this fall, the British singer sparkled during the music industry's biggest night.

OK! NEWS: GRAMMY AWARD 2012 WINNERS!After walking away with six statues (yes, she was nominated six times and literally cleaned up!), Adele told reporters it's incredible being compared to Beyoncé. "Beyoncé is my favorite, so it is amazing," she said. "I'm very, very proud of myself. It hasn't really sunk in. I just keep laughing. It's incredible."What's even more incredible is the fact that last night was her first performance since staying silent for a while due to the surgery. Actually, it doesn't sound like the hiatus was such a bad thing! OK! NEWS: LL COOL J OPENS THE GRAMMYS WITH PRAYER FOR THE LATE WHITNEY HOUSTON — "WE WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU""It's actually been really, really peaceful, actually. It was a bit traumatic having to have the surgery and stuff like that. But being silent in such a noisy world... everything is so noisy in my world, it was actually a blessing in disguise."She continued, "And thank God my voice healed and everything, and I stuck to all the rules that they gave me. I've actually never been happier. I found great happiness when I was ill. I'm glad to be back but I really enjoyed having to be quiet. I'm so mouthy, so I quite like to be forced to be quiet."Although she's not currently working on new tunes since she's "too busy being happy," the songstress is most definitely getting in the last laugh. Whatever happened to that guy she wrote about for "Rolling in the Deep," the song of the year? Adele quipped, "I think he would be very happy for me, I think. Yeah, I do."We think so, too!Reporting by Gena Oppenheim
