Nobody celebrates Earth Day quite like Kiehl's.
Celebs came out to support the iconic skincare brand's latest earth-friendly initiative at the Kiehl's store in Santa Monica, Calif on Wednesday night (April 17). Launching the Limited Edition Collection of Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cream sporting labels designed by Alanis Morissette and Zachary Quinto, famous folks like Annasophia Robb, Wilmer Valderrama, Amy Smart and Matt Lanter mingled while munching on yummy bites from STK Los Angeles and throwing back cocktails from Tito's Vodka (those who are of age, at least).
Alanis and Zachary, along with Kiehl's prez Chris Selgardo, were on hand to present a check (you know, the oversized, super-fun kind), to Recycle Across America, a non-profit organization working to make recycling easier by creating society-wide standardized labels for bins to eliminate the confusion about what to toss where. One-hundred percent of the net proceeds from the Limited Edition Ultra Facial Cream jars designed by the stars will benefit the charity.
Kiehl's encourages everyone to get involved with their eco-movement through their in-store recycling program. Receive a Recycle and Be Rewarded! card in any Kiehl's free-standing store and have it stamped each time you return an empty Kiehl's bottle or tube. Three stamps will earn you a free tube of their fab Lip Balm #1, five will score you an item from the Official Kiehl's Travel Collection and 10 will offer you the opportunity to choose nearly any single product with a value of $25 or less. Considering the way I burn through their Activated Sun Protector Sunscreen (no pun intended), I'm going to be returning empties left and right! To date the company has recycled over one million bottles and tubes.
