Is 30 Rock coming to an end? Well, according to Alec Baldwin, yes it is — next year.
Alec was chatting with New York Magazine‘s Vulture last night at the National Dance Institute’s annual fund-raising gala and revealed some big news about the show.
When Alec was asked if he would write a book like Tina Fey did, he decided to share something else.
“I will tell you one thing,” Alec said. “And that is our show next year is our last year of the show.”
The 30 Rock star has already announced that he plans to leave the show in 2012, but it hasn’t been announced that the show itself would also be done.
“Our contracts are expired [in 2012], and Tina is gonna have a big career directing films and writing,” he explained. “She’s going to be the next Elaine May. She’ll be great.”
So, it’s not a done deal and reps for Tina and the show declined to comment.
Do you think 30 Rock will really be over in 2012 like Alec says?
