Ah, Twitter. Celebs can share baby news, engagement announcements and a whole lot more but if you're Alec Baldwin, you can use the social media site to launch a war of words against a top politician!

It all started when Senate Majority Leader Dean Skelos commented on the Capitol Pressroom radio show. "We can't be influenced by the Alec Baldwins of the world that are just buying a $17 million condo in Greenwich Village — and he's going to tell us that we should tax everybody else."

According to the New York Post, essentially Dean told Alec to get out of the debate over a new millionaire tax. To that point Alec tweeted, "Only a Nassau County Republican tool like Dean Skelos could drag my name into a debate on state income tax."Although Alec has approximately 479,000 followers and the Majority Leader has less than 1,000, Dean tweeted back: "Hypocritical @AlecBaldwin rages against corporate greed yet is a paid spokesperson for corporate giant Cap One."The war of words continued. Alec tweeted, "I pay more in income txs in 1 yr than Skelos pays in 20. So what's his point? #noonedistortsthefactslikedeanskelos" He also added, "C'mon Dean Skelos!! You professional distorted of facts!! Join me in a press conference. And bring your tax returns!!"Perhaps to close the conversation in good humor, the politician's last tweet to the actor focused on a lighter note. "@AlecBaldwin BTW, think Jack Donaghy gets together with Liz Lemon in the end."
