But first, according to The New York Post, when he quit, Alec simply Tweeted, "It's been fun."

Will he eventually return to the social media site? Considering that he has quit and returned before, it's anyone's guess! The last time he quit was in December, after being removed from an American Airlines flight.

As for the other news this morning, the New York Philharmonic told The New York Times Alec gifted $1 million to honor Zarin Mehta, the outgoing president and executive director!

His ties to the Philharmonic shouldn't be a surprise. After all, he's a member of the board and host of the radio show The New York Philharmonic This Week. Plus, Alec has plugged the orchestra from time to time in his credit-card commercials.

In a statement, Alec said, "I have loved classical music all of my life, but Zarin Mehta made my dream of becoming part of the world of classical music come true. I will miss working with him directly, but will always bear in mind his passion, commitmenet and insight as I continue my work with the New York Philharmonic."
