'An American Girl' Director: Kristen Stewart's "The One I Want"

Turns out Kristen Stewart does have another project lined up besides The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn. According to director James Woods, Kristen will be shooting An American Girl in 2011.

An American Girl director told MTV News on Monday on the red carpet of Kristen's new film, Welcome to the Rileys, that Kristen is set to star in the film.

"She's been committed to it for two years now, and we're just about ready to go now in the spring," he said.

The film is based on Tom Metcalfe's script The Haunting in Connecticut and tells the story of a high school grad who is recorded having sex unknowingly and to escape the humiliation joins the Marines.

Woods heard good things about Kristen from both Sean Penn and Dennis Quaid and decided he needed her for the film. "She's the one I want. She's it," he remembered saying.

And he has many reason's why he loves Kristen!

"Her insight into the script was so perceptive and prescient as it turns out that I was overwhelmed with what a true professional and what a true artist she was, beyond her talent," Woods said. "She's got a real brain for script analysis. She's just been totally devoted throughout all this fame. It's never dented her at all. She's been terrific from day one up until this very minute."

And Woods is looking forward to working with the Twilight star.

"She has been steadfast and true in her commitment, which did not surprise me, because when I started working with her on the script she was so insightful."
