In NYC for the opening of her directorial debut, In the Land of Blood and Honey, Angelina Jolie told OK! about the theme of her film: love.
"The love of a mother and a child; the love between and man and a woman… your sense of loyalty, your love of yourself…"
Those are certainly ideas she knows something about, especially with six kids pestering her to marry her own love, Brad Pitt.
Angie even joked, "I asked them if it was just because they wanted to have a big cake."
She also added that her film explores "how love is tested because of love of country," as well as "how war can tear apart people who feel kindness and love."
The message must be powerful — In the Land of Blood and Honey received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Foreign Language film today!
