Anne Hathaway's Startling Weight Loss Could Wreak Havoc With Metabolism

The beautiful Anne Hathaway has always taken her roles seriously and her latest role in Les Miserables is no exception.

According to RadarOnline, the 5'8" star has dropped to approximately 115 pounds. With her incredibly svelte frame, experts are concerned.

Jackie Keller, nutritional expert and CEO of NutriFit explained to the site, "Anne is a true professional and always prepares for her roles. Unfortunately, this particular role meant losing even more weight and generally looking starved and ragged."

She added that Anne typically is a healthy eater "with a normal, healthy appetite — careful but not 'crazy.'"  Jackie essentially pointed out significant weight loss can wreak havoc with one's metabolism. (Keep in mind Anne already whittled down to become fierce and fit for a latex catsuit for The Dark Knight Rises.) 

She added, "It's hard on the metabolism and makes successive attempts to lose weight more difficult. It can also be hard on you mentally, because to be able to go through cycles like that can make you very phobic about food in general." While Jackie mentioned she doesn't "ascribe any of these issues to Anne" directly, when someone has had their weight fluctuate, in general, it can be a tough road ahead.
