Unfortunately, the show won’t go on for Aretha Franklin. The singer has had to cancel all of her concerts and appearances for the next six months.
“At the insistence” of the 68-year-old’s doctors, Aretha has had to cancel her upcoming appearances, BBC News reports.
Aretha was admitted to a Detroit hospital last month for unknown reason, but is now “resting comfortably” at home. She broke two ribs in a bad fall and had to cancel two concerts in August as a result.
But the singer wishes she could be on stage!
Aretha’s publicist said in a statement she is “very anxious to get back on the road to perform for her fans.”
“The award-winning songstress sends her sincerest apologies to her loyal followers and colleagues for the canceled shows.”
She will be missed!
