Finally! One of our most pressing questions about the return of the hit CBS sitcom Two and a Half Men has been answered. CBS revealed details about Ashton Kutcher's character, and we can't wait to see how he fits into the plot!

Ashton will play "an Internet billionaire with a broken heart," named Walden Schmidt, CBS Entertainment chief Nina Tassler revealed today, reports USA Today.

She would not, however, "confirm or deny" the reports that Charlie Sheen's character Charlie Harper would be killed off the show, or that his funeral will be a main focus of the Sept. 19 premiere of Season 9.

OK! NEWS: TWO AND A HALF MEN SEASON 9 OPENS WITH CHARLIE SHEEN'S CHARACTER'S FUNERAL?

The Season 9 debut will be a two-part premiere.

"What we learned is that we have an extraordinary cast... and there is great value in hiring an actor like Ashton Kutcher," Tassler added, noting that Ashton is a "funny, gifted actor who comes with a tremendous amount of enthusiasm. We have an opportunity moving forward to create an exciting character and make a new show. The show will be as irreverent as it has always been."

She also revealed that Ashton and Men regulars Jon Cryer and Angus T. Jones have been working extremely hard to pull off a seamless episode for fans.

"I'd be lying if I said you could cut the (tension) with a knife," she said of Monday's rehearsal. "They're very focused... there's a tremendous amount of weight and effort being put into this episode."

After a destructive media bender and a very public falling out with Men producer Chuck Lorre, Charlie was fired from the CBS show and is currently entangled in a $2 million lawsuit with Chuck and Warner Brothers.

Until his dismissal from Men, Charlie was the highest-paid actor on TV, making a reported $2 million per episode.

Ashton was hired as his replacement, and it looks like his character has no ties to Charlie Harper.

Recent reports suggest that the new season of Men would open with Charlie's funeral, with all of his ex-girlfriends mourning him.
