Jake Pavelka is a man on a mission this season on Bachelor Pad 2, but snagging the $250,000 prize isn’t his main concern. The reality star never got the closure he needed after his blowout breakup with fiancée Vienna Girardi last summer, and he’s looking to tie up some loose ends. “I was reaching out to her several times throughout the year, but she wouldn’t take my calls, wouldn’t see me and didn’t want to talk about it,” Jake told press in a interview on Thursday.

"This was my opportunity to get back in front of her and finish that conversation, get closure for myself, offer her closure and definitely finish that conversation for America."

But Jake wasn’t fretting about what to say when he walked through the door and greeted Vienna for the first time. What was running through his mind?

“You cut your beautiful hair off!”

Vienna’s shorter hair-do isn’t the only new feature that Jake’s talking about. He hasn’t seen pictures of his ex-flame post-nose job, but he’s not denying she didn’t need it.

“I mean, she looked fine before,” Jake said.

When asked, “So you didn’t think she needed it?” Jake responded, “I didn’t say that. Whatever makes her happy.”

Jake has seen his fair share of contestants come and go on the reality TV series, and his experience in the Bachelor circuit has given Jake a better understanding of who makes a good candidate for the show.

“The guys that seem to have really successful seasons on The Bachelor are the guys that are vulnerable and will talk about their feelings,” Jake told OK!. ”They’ve been raised in a way that they’re comfortable with women and they open themselves up a little bit, which allows America to follow how the guy’s feeling.”

So based on these qualifications, who does he think should be the next bachelor?

“I hope it’s Ryan Park,” Jake told OK!. “I think I got the right guy.”
