On the sixth episode of this season’s The Bachelorette, Ali Fedotowsky continued her journey toward finding a love, traveling to Istabul, Turkey with her six remaining marriage prospects. However, the group’s arrival to Turkey was off to a bumpy start, as Ali found out the ugly truth behind one of her six guys.
In the beginning of the episode, host Chris Harrison made a visit to Ali in her hotel room to deliver some unfortunate news — one of the contestants has a girlfriend.
Chris informed Ali her ex-fellow Bachelor contestant Jessie — from last season with Jake Pavelka — had told the show’s producers that Justin “Rated-R” has a girlfriend.
Ali called Jessie and spoke to Justin’s girlfriend Jessica who explained he was using The Bachelorette platform as a way to get his foot into the entertainment industry.
After the phone call, Ali expressed to Chris her shock at the news and resentment toward Justin. Chris explained Justin had been contacting his girlfriend throughout the taping of the show.
Ali confronted Justin in front of the other guys in the hotel room, expressing her disappointment and disgust, but Justin didn’t even put up a fight.
The wrestler immediately left the hotel room as Ali followed him, looking for some sort of response.
Finally, Justin made time to speak with Ali, only to admit he has strong feelings for her and deny all the accusations against him.
Ali called his actions “unspeakable” — Justin exits to the recordings of his own audio of messages, obtained by the producers, which he had left for Jessica telling her how much he loves her.
After the Justin drama ends, the date cards arrive and Ty received his first one-on-one date with Ali.
On their date, Ty and Ali seemed to hit it off. Ali explained she feels protected when she is around him.
Back at the hotel, group date card arrives with the names: Roberto, Kirk, Chris and Craig, leaving Frank with a second one-on-one date with Ali.
During Ali and Ty’s date, Ali described herself as the opposite of traditional. Ty explained his marriage background, and Ali fond his story genuine and offered him the rose.
“She understands what I’ve been through,” Ty said after accepting the rose.
The next day on the group date Chris, Craig, Roberto and Kirk find themselves oil wrestling Turkish men for a one-on-one date with Ali. She applied olive oil all over the guys after they strip down.
Craig won the oil-wrestling match between the four guys and finally received the one-on-one date he had been waiting for.
Ali and Craig go on a boat ride around Istanbul and enjoy dinner at a lighthouse.
Craig admitted he is falling for Ali, and she reciprocated the sentiment explaining he has everything she wants in a man; however, romantic sparks don’t seem to fly on the date.
The next day Ali and Frank go on their second one-on-one date, and Ali explained she fears she won’t reach the same connection with Frank as they did on their magical first date.
After spending some time together, Ali admits their chemistry is back to where it used to be and she has her “old Frank back.”
During dinner, Frank explains he only wants to get down on his knee and propose to one girl and be married only once.
Ali tells him their relationship scares her and makes her feel nervous. But Frank comforts her by saying his heart is ready.
Ali admits she is afraid Frank will break her heart, but says she has a feeling about him that its right. She then offers him a rose.
At the cocktail party, Ali explained after the crazy events of her week in Turkey, she wants to skip the cocktail reception and go right to the roseceremony. She knew she was lacking a connection with one guy, and felt it wasn’t fair to put him through a party if her feelings weren’t there.
In the end, Craig left Istanbul without a rose from Ali, despite their romantic one-on-one date in.
Ali explained the romantic connection was missing.
As for the next stop on Ali’s journey to find love — Lisbon, Portugal.
