One Million Moms, an affiliate of The American Family Association, has called for a boycott of Ben & Jerry's newest ice cream flavor, Schweddy Balls, for its "vulgar" name.

OK! NEWS: BEN & JERRY'S ICE CREAM'S NEWEST FLAVOR — "SCHWEDDY BALLS"

Ben & Jerry's recently released Schweddy Balls ice cream pays homage to a Saturday Night Live skit featuring Alec Baldwin.

"Schweddy Balls is the best they could come up with. The vulgar new flavor has turned something as innocent as ice cream into something repulsive," One Million Moms' website states. "Not exactly what you want a child asking for at the supermarket."

In the SNL skit, Alec plays Pete Schweddy, who owns a holiday bake shop and promotes his favorite treat on Molly Shannon and Ana Gasteyer's NPR radio show.

"No one can resists my Schweddy Balls," he says. So, Ben & Jerry's turned the fake treat into a real flavor, described as “vanilla ice cream with a hint of rum and loaded with fudge-covered rum and malt balls.”

OMM is asking people to write letters to Ben & Jerry's "requesting that no additional Schweddy Balls ice cream be distributed."

But Ben & Jerry's spokesman Sean Greenwood said, "The name is irreverent. But we've always been about having some irreverence and having some fun ... We're not trying to offend people. Our fans get the humor."

Do you think Schweddy Balls should be boycotted? Or do you "get the humor" of the name?
