Mum's the word when it comes to talking to the press after a diva's death but apparently some staffers at the Beverly Hilton Hotel didn't get the memo!
The luxury hotel has fired staffers for talking to the media about the tragedy. After Whitney Houston consumed a fatal mix of Xanax, Valium and alcohol merely hours before Clive Davis' annual pre-Grammy party, RadarOnline pointed out that a few staffers spoke to media outlets. This was an apparent no-no since the hotel reprimanded them and also fired them!
A lot of chaos ensued at the hotel, with hundreds of people at the hotel for the party itself in addition to paramedics, firemen, policemen, and investigators who emerged onto the premises.
A source told RadarOnline, "The hotel employees that talked to the media were fired because they violated hotel policy. They weren't high-level employees, but the hotel didn't want anyone to talk about Whitney's tragic death."
