Earlier this week we reported that Beyoncé and Kim Kardashian hit a rough patch over the Labor Day weekend during a Jay-Z concert at the Budweiser Made In America festival in Philadelphia.

Sources said the two women (once friendly) barely acknowledged one another backstage. The tension was visible, even leading some to speculate the two were feuding.

The observations were correct, according to RadarOnline.com, whose insider source says Bey was annoyed with the reality star for attempting to shoehorn herself into a documentary Ron Howard was filming about Jay-Z.

"Kim was desperate for attention in the VIP area and was getting in the way of cameras that were supposed to be filming Jay-Z,” an eyewitness backstage reported. “She kept saying she was a huge fan of Ron Howard and would do anything to be cast in one of his films, so Kim was using this as an opportunity to impress the movie maverick."

Jay's protective wife picked up on this and kindly pulled Kim aside to tell her it was tacky and rude to steal the attention from her husband, which left the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star "fuming."

Jay-Z sensed a storm brewing and attempted to calm his wife.

"He said to Beyoncé that she needs to play nice with Kim because he is pals with Kanye," the source continued, adding that Kim called her mother to complain how the 'Bootylicious' star treated her.

While asking Kim to steer clear of the documentary may seem fair, a source at the scene summed it up: "(Kim) isn't used to not getting what she wants."
