Beyoncé Signs On For Super Bowl Half Time Show In New Orleans

The halftime show for Super Bowl XLVII is going to be spectacular because none other than Beyoncé Knowles-Carter has signed on to perform, according to AP.

The Single Ladies superstar is going to put on one hell of a show next February in New Orleans as her stage performances are legendary.

Beyoncé is the latest in a long line of music superstars who have entertained sports fans between all the on-field action.

Michael Jackson, Paul McCartney, U2, Black Eyed Peas and Madonna have all had the honor in years past.

An official announcement is expected to made on Wednesday but Bey gave a hint on her Facebook page on Tuesday by posting a stunning close-up picture of herself with "Feb 3 2013" painted on her cheek under the caption "Countdown to Touchdown."

Beyoncé performed the national anthem at Super Bowl XXXVIII in her native Houston, Texas back in 2004.

The new mom, who welcomed daughter Blue Ivy with husband Jay-Z  earlier this year, recently announced that she will no longer appear in Clint Eastwood's A Star Is Born because of scheduling conflicts.
